The Estrela Solitária fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gerd Müller scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamim Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes, Estrela Solitária's Dudu Meira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fodor Daniel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Estrela Solitária reached it. After 23 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Antal Valentin. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Benjamim Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamim Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Estrela Solitária's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamim Dante quite easily take care of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Gerd Müller came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute Dudu Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerd Müller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Gerd Müller made the kick off in the second half. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerd Müller in the 56th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Chicão Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fodor Daniel. Hungary's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Dudu Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. The supporters of Hungary booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Dante having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Guilherme Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerd Müller in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Dudu Meira notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Hungary's Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerd Müller in the 94th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
