Yağızhan Acıbadem made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the game, Czech Republic's Alan Rezek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anıl Ege Devlet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Anıl Ege Devlet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Dostal, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Ulvi Taşkesen kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Denis Dostal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Anıl Ege Devlet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denis Dostal scored 0-3 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anıl Ege Devlet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 17 minutes, Denis Dostal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czech Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Dostal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Erik Jilek. In the 23rd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kvetoslav Janku to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. Anıl Ege Devlet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Rezek in the 30th minute of play. Alan Rezek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Bohumir Kohout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Jilek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kvetoslav Janku's late challenge caught a Samsunspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kvetoslav Janku helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Kvetoslav Janku got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Denis Dostal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Anıl Ege Devlet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Samsunspor's Namık Kemal Yenal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Alan Rezek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 minutes of play, Samsunspor's Yağızhan Acıbadem made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Denis Dostal came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Czech Republic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Dostal couldn't finish the play. Kingsley Schindler charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kingsley Schindler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kingsley Schindler to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Dostal in the 85th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Anıl Ege Devlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Dostal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Ege Devlet having to interfere. Kingsley Schindler kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Anıl Ege Devlet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 95th minute of the match Kingsley Schindler completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kingsley Schindler a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Jilek got free with Anıl Ege Devlet in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Czech Republic supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Czech Republic would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
