Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arnout Reekers was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Augusto Benitez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Benitez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Orhan Ortanca's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orhan Ortanca helped the player get up and apologised. 25 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alisson Becker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Alisson Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franky Ooms during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Franky Ooms. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 45th minute of play. Alisson Becker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 60th minute, Emil Banciu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buffalo Timişoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olgierd Kilar during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Alisson Becker successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 83 minutes Buffalo Timişoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alisson Becker quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 87th minute, Augusto Benitez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buffalo Timişoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in Buffalo Timişoara's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alisson Becker came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Buffalo Timişoara had won after a very even match.
