The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balazs Lajos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Augusto Benitez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Zbora in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Antal Valentin made a precise shot to the right of Alisson Becker. Buffalo Timişoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Augusto Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Benitez in the 42nd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Augusto Benitez sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Zbora in the 47th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Buffalo Timişoara's corner Olgierd Kilar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Hegedus Henrik. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Benitez in the 63rd minute of play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Benitez in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After 79 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Balazs Lajos. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Zbora in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olgierd Kilar was slow to take the kick. During this time Buffalo Timişoara's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Benitez in the 90th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Augusto Benitez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Augusto Benitez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. The Buffalo Timişoara support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
