Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 13th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Runa United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nils-Erik Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Runa United got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jörgen Lundström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Runa United's Jörgen Lundström was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Brogren got free with Arnout Reekers in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 minutes of play, Runa United's Frank Brogren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harry Boumans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 28th minute Valentin Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valentin Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nils-Erik Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Harry Boumans made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Runa United getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jörgen Lundström hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Erik Åhlberg having to make a save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Boumans, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Boumans in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Brogren came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Valentin Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82nd play minutes Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Nils-Erik Åhlberg and just under the crossbar into goal. 85 minutes into the match, Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Boumans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 89th minute of play forced Runa United's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Åhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes Runa United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. 91 minutes into the match, Runa United's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Runa United defense, Lars Meesters kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils-Erik Åhlberg. The Runa United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils-Erik Åhlberg should have stopped the shot. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
