Deportivo Marplatense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Eneto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Marplatense's Cristobal Eneto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maxime Durand in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristobal Eneto struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Maxime Durand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Marplatense. In the 46th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Bermund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Bermund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Eneto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maxime Durand came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristobal Eneto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristobal Eneto to make the kick off. Cristobal Eneto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristian Bermund got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Eneto in the 75th minute of the match. Adolfo Raebert kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Henry Robiquet in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Marplatense's Rodolfo Jerrald. Cristobal Eneto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maxime Durand having to make a save. Camille Baume's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Cristian Bermund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Cristobal Eneto came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Deportivo Marplatense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Eneto couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Deportivo Marplatense's Cristian Bermund got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Bermund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camille Baume in the 96th minute of the match. France's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Deportivo Marplatense had won, even though France had held more of the ball.
