Navalito were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tata Elias took the corner. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tata Elias was slow to take the kick. During this time Navalito's players had a chance to rest. Nicanor Parra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, David Eikelkamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Soriano Espiñeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when David Eikelkamp came free, but Soriano Espiñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 45th minute of play. Soriano Espiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Navalito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Soriano Espiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 58th minute of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Navalito's Clemente Esquerra was substituted for Faustino Huaiquiman. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Navalito's José Ignacio Portusagasti. Soriano Espiñeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Soriano Espiñeira. That made the score 0-4 after 69 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Navalito's Eros Villamayor got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Isidoro Young notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Soriano Espiñeira made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Navalito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tata Elias in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
