But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baal Grunberg couldn't finish the play. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 16th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th match minute, Clube do Remo MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergi Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baal Grunberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Belgium booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Namasivayam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wachirapong Wattanachinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Clocheret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Clube do Remo MZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wachirapong Wattanachinda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Clube do Remo MZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. The corner ended in Edward Vanderstraeten almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda did a great save. 35 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Mandrak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Casper Claes. Tiaguinho Mandrak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 40th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Sandoval in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baal Grunberg to make the kick off. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Didi Mello who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Didi Mello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. The audience was convinced that Baal Grunberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Kang Cheng Ao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 62 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Virgill Van Dijk. Clube do Remo MZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten scored to the left of an out of position Wachirapong Wattanachinda, making the score, 2-1. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Siebe Michiels heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 90th minute of play forced Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Daniel Namasivayam hit a great ball. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
