The corner ended in Nunez Freijo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Camaçari Futbol Club's Erasmo Linares did a great save. Real Camaçari Futbol Club's Erasmo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Contratas in the 6th minute of play. Roberto Pachistre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. 宋辉星 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 41 minutes on the clock, Martin Joanes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Leeds United booed when Real Camaçari Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egun Cantoral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nunez Freijo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Leeds United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
