Siro Benvido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erdinç Yalgın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Nils-Erik Källberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Cosme in the 21st minute of play. Erdinç Yalgın was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eusébio Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Siro Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erdinç Yalgın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mans's Erdinç Yalgın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Benvido in the 62nd minute of play. Siro Benvido took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erdinç Yalgın. Erdinç Yalgın dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Mans's Faustin Truffaut was substituted for Teobald Gondek.
