Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Amado Godoy sent off a good shot on target. Pepe Sarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 12th minute of the match. KF Ballistet's Pepe Sarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, KF Ballistet's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Pepe Sarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 16th minute of play forced KF Ballistet's goalkeeper Pepe Sarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on KF Ballistet's corner Lu Guo Jie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. When Leo Rosario came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the KF Ballistet fans jumped to their feet.
