Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Denmark's Chris Nygaard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 18 played minutes Kurfalıspor got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Ekrem Hür. Toni Schumacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faruk Nafiz Sebil in the 24th minute of the match. Toni Schumacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. Kurfalıspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toni Schumacher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The corner led to Denmark's Olav Graversen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. The supporters of Kurfalıspor booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faruk Nafiz Sebil in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Kurfalıspor's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faruk Nafiz Sebil was the one to do the kick off.
