The referee showed Jovan Borisov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jovan Borisov hit a great ball. Çetin Reca kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Serbia's Miljan Gavrilovic managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anıl Arda Sefik in the 17 minute of the game. In the 21st minute of the game Mustafa Haydar Acarbey made a throw-in which Yavuz Selim Elmastaş played forward. Enginsu Özal struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sirince. Doğaner Rebi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Vladeta Jovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Denizhan Onatkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sreten Popovic during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sreten Popovic hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The supporters of sirince booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Momir Gisic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anıl Arda Sefik was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borjan Golubovic to maneuver through the defense. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Anıl Arda Sefik sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Yavuz Selim Elmastaş in the 54th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute of the game Çetin Reca made a throw-in which Yavuz Selim Elmastaş played forward. In the 69th match minute, Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Momir Gisic to maneuver through the defense. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enginsu Özal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of sirince booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Momir Gisic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute of the match Anıl Arda Sefik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Cvijetin Nanusevski hit a great ball. Anıl Arda Sefik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Serbia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of sirince:s goal. Doğaner Rebi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. sirince walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
