Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marlon Higginson made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Eddie Power managed to get in a good position for a shot. SEA THE STARS's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddie Power was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 5th minute of play forced SEA THE STARS's goalkeeper Alfred Clough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, SEA THE STARS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Clifford to maneuver through the defense. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Chris Nygaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SEA THE STARS's Alfred Clough did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SEA THE STARS's Alfred Clough. Alfred Clough was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfred Clough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Chris Nygaard went to the cornerflag to take it. Alfred Clough stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikkel Wulff's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marlon Higginson in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Clough was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, SEA THE STARS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howard Carpenter to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Howard Carpenter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Howard Carpenter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Clough. Alfred Clough dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The SEA THE STARS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 56 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Denmark and the SEA THE STARS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chris Nygaard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Alfred Clough skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 59th minute, Chris Nygaard fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 64 minutes into the match, Eddie Power had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddie Power was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mikkel Wulff during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mikkel Wulff kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Mikkel Wulff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alfred Clough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeremy Reeve was slow to take the kick. During this time SEA THE STARS's players had a chance to rest. SEA THE STARS's Jeremy Reeve was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keld Paulsen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Chris Nygaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Alfred Clough made a huge save. After a rather tough play, SEA THE STARS's Jeremy Reeve got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 83rd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Clough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Dewhirst charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Dewhirst the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Clough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Denmark eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
