Clive Shilton was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lam Baril in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Shilton having to interfere. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Many of Hungary's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Hungary may have spent more time on the ball, but FC LIVERPOOL were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
