Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Danny Edelmann started the match with the kick off. Danny Edelmann scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaf Rudberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 9 minutes, Algot Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algot Månsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute Danny Edelmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaf Rudberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward von Grimmelhausen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes AC United got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Täman. 24 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Stéphane Meyer came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Terry Kieffer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Täman in the 27th minute of play. Malte Wikander hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Gerd Hilpert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gustaf Rudberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Barreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Täman in the 47th minute of play forced FC Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Terry Kieffer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Terry Kieffer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Broman in the 52nd minute of play. When Sten Broman came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the AC United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Broman couldn't finish the play. Patric Ödman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 played minutes AC United got a freekick which was hit by Patric Ödman. Gerd Hilpert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Rudberg having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Gerd Hilpert dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustaf Rudberg, 1-2. Gerd Hilpert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malte Wikander kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Benjamin Chevalier got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Ingvar Täman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Terry Kieffer. FC Lëtzebuerg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Täman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. AC United's Gustaf Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Barreiro in the 85th minute of play. Terry Kieffer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algot Månsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Algot Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algot Månsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaf Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd Hilpert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Sammy Schmitz came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
