Jerry Moerman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Terry Kieffer made a huge save. FC Draconia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Moerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After some careless play in the FC Lëtzebuerg defense, Jerry Moerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terry Kieffer. The FC Lëtzebuerg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terry Kieffer should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerry Moerman was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, FC Draconia's Klaus Dhondt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terry Kieffer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. FC Draconia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Moerman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee showed Tibo De Witte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Draconia's Tibo De Witte got a free kick in the 94th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klaus Dhondt in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terry Kieffer saved FC Lëtzebuerg from getting behind.
