The supporters of FC Lëtzebuerg booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Malvezzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Michael Bismarck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armin Giolo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Camillo Punta hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Luca Ludwick managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lëtzebuerg's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Ludwick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armin Giolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santoryu FC's Armin Giolo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Damiano Sisti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Terry Kieffer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alexander Nero scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Terry Kieffer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Ottaviani made a kick off. Armin Giolo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lëtzebuerg's Luca Ludwick. But to his dismay, Luca Ludwick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The audience was convinced that Luca Ludwick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armin Giolo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 62 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Ottaviani. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Santoryu FC's Ercole Battisti got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Terry Kieffer. 72 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Bismarck came free, but Armin Giolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Schubert kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Terry Kieffer was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Damiano Sisti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damiano Sisti really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. In the 80th minute, Santoryu FC's Adriano Ottaviani ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Terry Kieffer. Terry Kieffer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-5. Armin Giolo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Bismarck went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-5 was the resulting score. Terry Kieffer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Sisti in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Lars Schubert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Santoryu FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
