Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) POLI TIMISOARA's Aristide Buzilă started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Albin Holweck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mihai Domuță was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Aristide Buzilă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 15 minutes into the game, Linus Schwerner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave POLI TIMISOARA the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Schwerner to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Nichitelea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicu Nichitelea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Aristide Buzilă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihai Domuță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cosmin Harbuz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristide Buzilă. Frank Sachs took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihai Domuță. Mihai Domuță dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 31st minute Aristide Buzilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes POLI TIMISOARA got a freekick which was hit by Marcelito Pajazo. Aristide Buzilă's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mihai Domuță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrich Stein, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Domuță having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Cosmin Harbuz made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristide Buzilă in the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Germany booed when POLI TIMISOARA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristen Vebirk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Frank Sachs made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Dumitru Perișoară stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Dumitru Perișoară tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. POLI TIMISOARA made a substitution. Jarbas Prestes replaced Aristide Buzilă. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Prestes in the 61st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicu Nichitelea in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Adrian Mihăescu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the POLI TIMISOARA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Mihăescu couldn't finish the play. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Harbuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Harbuz in the 71st minute of play. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Buculeasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Filip Buculeasa charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Buculeasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, POLI TIMISOARA's Filip Buculeasa got a free kick in the 85th minute. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 89 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Nichitelea in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that POLI TIMISOARA were the better team. POLI TIMISOARA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
