If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Issac Dawson in the 7th minute of play forced Petroleros de Cabimas's goalkeeper Atarratze Solis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Petroleros de Cabimas's Llorienzo Lecanda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Khalid Kennedy. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. After 14 minutes, Gonsalve Aubets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petroleros de Cabimas and the England players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of England booed when Petroleros de Cabimas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonsalve Aubets didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Llorienzo Lecanda during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Llorienzo Lecanda kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the last second Khalid Kennedy throw himself and got hold of the ball when Llorienzo Lecanda in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of England booed when Petroleros de Cabimas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Valdeboys didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, England's Xavier Gallagher got a free kick in the 27th minute. Khalid Kennedy was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edelmiro Solarriba. Khalid Kennedy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Llorienzo Lecanda in the 29th minute. Issac Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kyle Cox in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atarratze Solis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Atarratze Solis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Petroleros de Cabimas's Corderun Perucho got a free kick in the 42nd minute. When Issac Dawson came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Issac Dawson couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes of play, England's Micah Macdonald made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atarratze Solis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Llorienzo Lecanda made the kick off in the second half. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atarratze Solis having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Kyle Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petroleros de Cabimas's Atarratze Solis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes Petroleros de Cabimas got a freekick which was hit by Gonsalve Aubets. 70 minutes into the match, Papo Fortea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Khalid Kennedy. England's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Papo Fortea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Gonsalve Aubets kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Corderun Perucho's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corderun Perucho helped the player get up and apologised. Corderun Perucho hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Atarratze Solis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Petroleros de Cabimas's Corderun Perucho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Khalid Kennedy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Atarratze Solis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Petroleros de Cabimas's Corderun Perucho got a free kick in the 86th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kyle Cox kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atarratze Solis. That made the score 3-2 in the 87 minute of play. In the 92nd minute Llorienzo Lecanda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonsalve Aubets hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Petroleros de Cabimas could leave the field as winners, despite England having more of the ball for most of the match.
