Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kerry Sellers. Balazs Lajos struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Farid Mondragón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Hungary's Major Barna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Farid Mondragón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Kerry Sellers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 27th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Farid Mondragón quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The attack was good, but when Major Barna in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience was convinced that Kerry Sellers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 33 minutes into the game, Hungary's Antal Valentin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Farid Mondragón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 38thth minute of the game Antal Valentin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Boros Benedek. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The C. A. Independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kerry Sellers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kerry Sellers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Farid Mondragón made a huge save. After 61 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Farid Mondragón was left in no man's land by his defense there! Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tommie Bolton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Sellers, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When C. A. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 minutes C. A. Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. In the 86th minute Tommie Bolton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Tommie Bolton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
