The supporters of Ñacuñán AC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ñacuñán AC's Jonatan Raymundo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benicio Otoniel might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benicio Otoniel ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Otoniel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Benicio Otoniel sent off a good shot on target. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ñacuñán AC's goalie prevented a goal. Elpidio Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The referee ignored Ñacuñán AC's protests and gave Elpidio Ekain a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Ñacuñán AC got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Ekain. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Lauaxeta in the 87th minute of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Clodio in the 93rd minute of the match. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
