In the 26th minute Tervel Ralev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Vitelli in the 31st minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bearcreek United's Gene Dubler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Harrer in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bearcreek United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sandro Galishoff was slow to take the kick. During this time Austria's players had a chance to rest.
