In the 40th minute, Douglas Cardoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avantchê fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Atlético Cristo Rei's Alfredão Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Abraão in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Cristo Rei defense, Eusebio Rajoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredão Bueno. The Atlético Cristo Rei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredão Bueno should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Abraão was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Avantchê's Douglas Cardoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredão Bueno. That made the score 0-12 after 93 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Avantchê left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Cristo Rei.
