After a defensive mix-up in E.C. Água Santa's zone, Juan Ibar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko Passos came out of the goal and Juan Ibar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Gualterio Gilabert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Godoy. New Pi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualterio Gilabert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Juan Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Godoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualterio Gilabert's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Juan Ibar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Pi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Maximo Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Gilabert in the 19th minute of the match. Maximo Godoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualterio Gilabert went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Gualterio Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximo Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Gilabert in the 29th minute of the match. Maximo Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Gilabert in the 37th minute of play. Juan Ibar scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kiko Passos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gualterio Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Gilabert to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Gualterio Gilabert got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Roque Argina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kiko Passos having to make a save. E.C. Água Santa made a substitution. Jonas Fernandes replaced Thiago Barros. Esteban Costante charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Costante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes New Pi got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Costante. A collision led to New Pi getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Esteban Costante hit a great ball. Kiko Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Alexandre Helsens in the 79th minute of play. New Pi's Maximo Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Gilabert in the 80th minute of play. With a little luck, New Pi's Maximo Godoy got control of the ball when Gualterio Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Godoy made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Gualterio Gilabert sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Osorio in the 91st minute of play forced E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Kiko Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes of play, E.C. Água Santa's Gualterio Gilabert made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Godoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, New Pi's Maximo Godoy got control of the ball when Gualterio Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. The New Pi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. E.C. Água Santa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
