In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fae Folgore's goalkeeper Anderson Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 5 minutes, Xavier Goossens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Gullegem and the Fae Folgore players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Xavier Goossens hit a great ball. Urmas Känsäkangas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Fabelo went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Urmas Känsäkangas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Fabelo in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Fae Folgore got a freekick which was hit by Aureliusz Bejger. Jakub Latocha hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Anderson Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias-Alexander Jamieson in the 16th minute of the match. João do Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urmas Känsäkangas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Anderson Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Goossens, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the match SK Gullegem got a corner. Fae Folgore's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bruno Renan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anderson Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Goossens, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Marco Fabelo in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Urmas Känsäkangas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wincenty Szarmach got free with Urmas Känsäkangas in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, SK Gullegem's Nico Jamieson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nico Jamieson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SK Gullegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nico Jamieson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, one of SK Gullegem:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SK Gullegem. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Urmas Känsäkangas. Urmas Känsäkangas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Latocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fae Folgore booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Nørlinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavier Goossens made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Latocha in the 54th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Urmas Känsäkangas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartjan Verheije recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Fae Folgore's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Goossens came free, but Anderson Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Goossens got free with Anderson Trigo in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 68 minutes of play, SK Gullegem's Xavier Goossens made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anderson Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fae Folgore's Barnaba Barniszke was substituted for Wincenty Szarmach. After 82 minutes SK Gullegem's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olgierd Balonek who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Fae Folgore's corner Olgierd Balonek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Urmas Känsäkangas quite easily take care of the ball. Barnaba Barniszke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Urmas Känsäkangas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Deroek charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Deroek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lorenzo Deroek kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When Olgierd Balonek came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Fae Folgore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olgierd Balonek couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fae Folgore fans cheered their team off the field, for while SK Gullegem had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
