The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilson Velasco was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Breckenfeld in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto Tepedino in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Sæmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Clube do Remo MZ from getting a goal against them. Clube do Remo MZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
