Conrad Harder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Iraitz in the 12th minute of play. Santos Kiliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 22 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Conrad Harder made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Kiliz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute Conrad Harder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Cayetano Bertol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Sæmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Sánchez took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Sæmer. Henning Sæmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 30 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Iraitz came free, but Henning Sæmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Dimitar Berbatov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Santos Kiliz, 3-1. 34 minutes into the match, Hugo Sánchez notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Teodosio Laurendi hit a great ball. Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Nygren charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Nygren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Humberto Iraitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henning Sæmer. FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodosio Laurendi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrad Harder in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Kiliz saved GUSESI from getting behind. In the 52nd minute Dimitar Berbatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Iraitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, GUSESI's Cayetano Bertol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cayetano Bertol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GUSESI protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cayetano Bertol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for FC Nordsjælland. Freddie Græsborg stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santos Kiliz. 5-2. Dimitar Berbatov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrad Harder in the 66th minute of play. After 68 minutes GUSESI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Svensson who took care of the corner kick. In the 69th minute, Conrad Harder made a precise shot to the right of Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. GUSESI's Arnaldo Intxixu got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. GUSESI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimitar Berbatov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-3. Arnaldo Intxixu charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Intxixu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Arnaldo Intxixu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Kiliz came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nordsjælland's Jeppe Tverskov. But to his dismay, Jeppe Tverskov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-3. When the referee ended the match the FC Nordsjælland players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
