GUSESI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Marcelo Goito scored to the left of an out of position Santos Kiliz, making the score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, New Pi's Marcelo Goito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Kiliz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Goito in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of New Pi booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Bertol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Generoso Artizar saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GUSESI! The goalkeeper, Santos Kiliz, was totally fooled by New Pi's Generoso Artizar, who 38 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. GUSESI's Santos Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Cordeiro in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hugo Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Gastón Turuk put in a rough tackle. 52 minutes into the game, one of New Pi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute, Marcelo Goito made a precise shot to the right of Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. New Pi's Severo Baristo was substituted for Cayetano Cordeiro. Maximo Godoy made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Arnaldo Intxixu sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Osorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Kiliz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. GUSESI's Teodosio Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Goito in the 79th minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Santos Kiliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Baristo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Kiliz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santos Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Baristo in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Humberto Iraitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Baristo in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Marcelo Goito managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Pi's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Goito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute Marcelo Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcelo Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New Pi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
