In the 38th minute Teodosio Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantijn van Eycken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raf De Winter fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Gullegem's protests and gave Raf De Winter a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Constantijn van Eycken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Primeiro in the 58th minute of play. Raf De Winter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Domingos Mambru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rondeau made a substitution. Prospero Enaut replaced Fausto Gonzo. Constantijn van Eycken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Enaut in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Omar Costante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edmond Walder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute, Prospero Enaut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rondeau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in SK Gullegem's zone, Teodosio Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantijn van Eycken came out of the goal and Teodosio Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SK Gullegem's Constantijn van Eycken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Enaut in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Enaut in the 96th minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Constantijn van Eycken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SK Gullegem's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
