Antal Valentin might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antal Valentin ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugo Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hugo Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremias Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Meninos De Cotia's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Hugo Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Meninos De Cotia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hugo Rodrigues quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Hungary's Takacs Tibor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Faustin Ostermann sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustin Ostermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
