Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off. Celedonio Dominguez came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tommy Kahn could save by the left post. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Celedonio Dominguez sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francesco Totti's shot from long distance in the 19th minute was not bad at all, but Germany's Tommy Kahn knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 23rd minute. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Gösta Söderberg. But to his dismay, Gösta Söderberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celedonio Dominguez made a kick off. When Albin Holweck came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Holweck couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Celedonio Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Dominguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francesco Totti struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hammarby IF. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Vester having to interfere. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti. But to his dismay, Francesco Totti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Söderberg went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Hammarby IF got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Mera. There was no doubt that Hammarby IF were the better team. Hammarby IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
