Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nico-Pascal Kapteina made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute Karim Tamadon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Ternes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Ramtin Hasanzadeh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Robin Schriebl managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Austria's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Schriebl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 7 played minutes U21 Austria got a freekick which was hit by Krzysztof Marek. 18 minutes into the match, Soheil Mahdavikia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thorsten Ternes. U21 Austria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Soheil Mahdavikia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st minute Ali Karimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Ternes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of U21 Austria booed when U21 Iran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arash Esmaeeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Schriebl in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, U21 Iran's Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh got control of the ball when Jens Krammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 33 in the game by Nico-Pascal Kapteina from a close distance when the talented Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh managed to make a qualified save. U21 Iran's players were relieved. Thorsten Ternes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Karimi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of U21 Iran booed when U21 Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Schriebl didn't get a good kick on the ball. The U21 Austria fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when U21 Austria's Nico-Pascal Kapteina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Karimi was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, U21 Austria's Thorsten Ternes got control of the ball when Karim Tamadon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Tamadon got free with Thorsten Ternes in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 52 minutes into the match, U21 Austria's goalkeeper Thorsten Ternes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karim Tamadon. Robin Schriebl scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of U21 Iran booed when U21 Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Krammer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Krammer, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico-Pascal Kapteina in the 63rd minute of play. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Austria's Robin Schriebl. But to his dismay, Robin Schriebl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 71st match minute, U21 Iran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anoush Kazemi to maneuver through the defense. U21 Austria made a substitution. Jan Haase replaced Robin Schriebl. In the 72nd minute, Anoush Kazemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Jens Krammer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh skillfully saved the ball. U21 Austria's Edin Džeko managed to work through U21 Iran's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edin Džeko dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Adem Ferrari kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Roozbeh Nakisa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Ternes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Krammer in the 87th minute of play. Jens Krammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmad Reza Abedzadeh having to interfere. U21 Iran's Karim Tamadon got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to U21 Austria getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Niclas Knebel hit a great ball. Niclas Knebel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, U21 Iran's Roozbeh Nakisa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thorsten Ternes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Iran were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after U21 Austria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ali Karimi took the corner. The corner ended in Ali Karimi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Austria's Thorsten Ternes did a great save.
