Belgium's Yves Dervaux quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brandon Stamp, made in the 11th minute of the game. Jeremie Van Nel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Luis Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.F Intercity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Zamora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of C.F Intercity booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siebe Michiels didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Song Xiao Li. If Yves Dervaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Belgium booed when C.F Intercity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon Stamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Olivar Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Olivar Ribeiro spun around in front of the goal 35 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Belgium's goal. Luis Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. Jeremie Van Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Olivar Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olivar Ribeiro made a kick off. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarón Campos in the 52nd minute of play. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Xiao Li in the 55th minute of play. If Aarón Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belgium were furious when Laurens Vandamme was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.F Intercity. In the 69th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Dermaut to maneuver through the defense. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cazacu in the 70th minute of the match. C.F Intercity made a substitution. Giro Campomanes replaced Tomi Candela. The C.F Intercity fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when C.F Intercity's Daniel Cazacu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
