Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) England's Kyle Cox started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as istanbulls's Luís Senna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Khalid Kennedy. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. After 6 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Kyle Cox. In the 8th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksel Canfeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Micah Macdonald hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Senna in the 17th minute of play. Khalid Kennedy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alp Enginalp in the 18th minute. Göksel Canfeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Macdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 21st minute of play forced istanbulls's goalkeeper Göksel Canfeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksel Canfeda having to interfere. In the 27th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksel Canfeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, England's Micah Macdonald got a free kick in the 29th minute. Aleksander Giec's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Khalid Kennedy firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 36th minute, Kyle Cox got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Issac Dawson in the 39th minute of play forced istanbulls's goalkeeper Göksel Canfeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alp Enginalp got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Senna in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Senna made a kick off. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Senna in the 52nd minute of play. Alp Enginalp struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Khalid Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for istanbulls. 57 minutes into the match, Zeng Chong Kang notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of England's Khalid Kennedy. Khalid Kennedy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alp Enginalp in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute istanbulls were awarded a corner. İsmail Doğa went to the cornerflag to take it. istanbulls's Bogdan Cismarescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Khalid Kennedy in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 63 minutes of play, istanbulls's Aleksander Giec made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Khalid Kennedy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 minutes, Alp Enginalp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the istanbulls and the England players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes istanbulls got a freekick which was hit by Alp Enginalp. Göksel Canfeda made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Micah Macdonald sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Cox came free, but Göksel Canfeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Issac Dawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the England defense, Luís Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khalid Kennedy. The England fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khalid Kennedy should have stopped the shot. Micah Macdonald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kyle Cox struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Göksel Canfeda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. For all the effort they put into the match, the England players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for istanbulls.
