In the 13th minute, San Martin de Tucuman's Paulino Lamberto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Justino Confesor might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justino Confesor ran back to his position shaking his head. If Justino Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justino Confesor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Justino Confesor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Confesor got free with Henrich Slany in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Suchy kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, San Martin de Tucuman's Justino Confesor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrich Slany made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Cecilio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Metod Mlynar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrich Slany came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin de Tucuman's Justino Confesor. But to his dismay, Justino Confesor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Justino Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justino Confesor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Justino Confesor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justino Confesor was the one to do the kick off. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Confesor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucuman's Paulino Lamberto made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrich Slany was left in no man's land by his defense there! San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Sergio Vitin replaced Justino Confesor. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Vitin in the 70th minute of play. Sergio Vitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. Severino Elorri replaced Ubaldo Veto. 82 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's Sergio Vitin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrich Slany narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sergio Vitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. When Sergio Vitin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Henrich Slany was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vavrinec Koleno to maneuver through the defense. Sergio Vitin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95thth minute of the game Paulino Lamberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slovakia's Henrich Slany was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. San Martin de Tucuman had played much better football throughout.
