In the 2nd match minute, Halkus Valkus BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Halkus Valkus BK booed when Moldova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Cerbu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marin Lipets hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match Ovidiu Spirea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cãlin Damaschin skillfully saved the ball. Marcellus Baumann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grisha Mbappè in the 7th minute. Grisha Mbappè could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Marcellus Baumann made a huge save. In the 13th minute Grisha Mbappè shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcellus Baumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Marius Cerbu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcellus Baumann quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 23 minutes in the game, Alexei Stratulat fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcellus Baumann having to interfere. Alexei Stratulat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Halkus Valkus BK's Marcellus Baumann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Halkus Valkus BK from getting a goal against them. Cãlin Damaschin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Spirea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Fransson in the 42nd minute of play forced Moldova's goalkeeper Cãlin Damaschin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Perju got free with Marcellus Baumann in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Moldova made a substitution. Maxim Scobioalã replaced Marin Lipets. The wind increased when Leonid Afteni made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonid Afteni in the 54th minute of play forced Halkus Valkus BK's goalkeeper Marcellus Baumann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Daniel Perju cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcellus Baumann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A very nice done corner allowed Leonid Afteni to score against Marcellus Baumann in Halkus Valkus BK's goal. 2-0 after 62 minutes. Halkus Valkus BK's Marcellus Baumann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Perju in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonid Afteni in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellus Baumann saved Halkus Valkus BK from getting behind. Sune Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cãlin Damaschin having to interfere. Halkus Valkus BK's Lütfullah Tan was substituted for Ovidiu Spirea. After 78 minutes Halkus Valkus BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marius Cerbu who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Leonid Afteni put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcellus Baumann. Marcellus Baumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexei Stratulat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Sandu Vasiliu suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Marc Beneth fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halkus Valkus BK's protests and gave Marc Beneth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Marc Beneth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halkus Valkus BK's Marcellus Baumann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Afteni in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Karl-Åke Håkansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxim Scobioalã lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Moldova getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Maxim Scobioalã hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Moldova fans cheered their team off the field, for while Halkus Valkus BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
