Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürbüz Hendekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Los Tatangelos:s Vacib Bartu showed great skill when he stopped Gijsbert ter Kruimer:s penalty. 22 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu. Vacib Bartu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 29 played minutes Los Tatangelos got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Zaremba. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vacib Bartu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Los Tatangelos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Vacib Bartu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Aycan Fırıncıoğlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. Ksawery Awizo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Vacib Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dündar Ülkenur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 51st minute of play forced Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Vacib Bartu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Durukan in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Tatangelos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vacib Bartu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Tatangelos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Vacib Bartu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Vacib Bartu made a huge save. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Vacib Bartu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
