Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Lluterio's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siricio Liotta in the 19th minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Cristaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luis Galarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zaccheo Andolina took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Galarza. Luis Galarza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Kalatakaya F.C.'s Benito Lluterio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Eliseo Cutri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benito Lluterio in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 45th minute of play. The Kalatakaya F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Siricio Liotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amável Falcão took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vittori. Antonello Da Messina kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Kalatakaya F.C. made a substitution. Federico Valcareggi replaced Luis Cristaldo. Italy's Siricio Liotta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Federico Valcareggi in the 69 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 70th minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Galarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Italy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
