F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Bociort was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vaggelis Lalas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaggelis Lalas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Bociort's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Vaggelis Lalas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Pancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, YELLOW FC's Avraam Sevastopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Iacob Povară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algirdas Radzevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, one of YELLOW FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in YELLOW FC's zone, Luca Pancu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Lalas came out of the goal and Luca Pancu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Algirdas Radzevičius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vaggelis Lalas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gheorghe Bociort went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. YELLOW FC's Vaggelis Lalas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Gheorghe Bociort cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vaggelis Lalas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vaggelis Lalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Pancu in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were awarded a corner. Iulian Nicorici went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Sorin Cupșa got a free kick in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Gheorghe Bociort put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Vaggelis Lalas. Gheorghe Bociort scored 1-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vaggelis Lalas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vaggelis Lalas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gheorghe Bociort's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After the first half F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gheorghe Bociort made a kick off. After 50 minutes, Tomáš Řehák mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YELLOW FC and the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomáš Řehák hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Gheorghe Bociort's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vaggelis Lalas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Sorin Cupșa got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Iosif Găman managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 60th minute of play forced YELLOW FC's goalkeeper Vaggelis Lalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Gheorghe Bociort put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Vaggelis Lalas. 66 minutes into the match, YELLOW FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Latarețu came free, but Vaggelis Lalas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vaggelis Lalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Latarețu in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Avraam Sevastopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Nastasio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Latarețu in the 85th minute of play forced YELLOW FC's goalkeeper Vaggelis Lalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silviu Latarețu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaggelis Lalas saved YELLOW FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Silviu Latarețu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vaggelis Lalas. That made the score 1-8 in the 88 minute of play. Silviu Latarețu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vaggelis Lalas came out and tried to block the shot, but Silviu Latarețu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the game, Luca Pancu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-10. Vaggelis Lalas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The YELLOW FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing F.C CLUJ MEDICINA to win.
