The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ron Boemans was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Boemans having to interfere. Ron Boemans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 38 played minutes TurboUC got a freekick which was hit by José Marcelo Asendegui. Ron Boemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to TurboUC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Thomas Lawrie hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan González in the 44th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xie Zheng Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Olo Planes sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 55th minute, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Xie Zheng Liang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xie Zheng Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Juan Eduardo Atenas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. TurboUC made a substitution. Aleksey Mazaev replaced Dušan Tadić. TurboUC's Felipo Manzano was substituted for Olo Planes. Ron Boemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Lars Meesters did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-4 to the left of a surprised Ron Boemans 91 minutes into the match. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Felipo Manzano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Felipo Manzano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute Juan González shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
