Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loukianos Livas's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After 6 minutes Denmark's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gregório Jesus who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gregório Jesus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Denmark's Keld Paulsen did a great save. Luís Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 8th minute of play forced Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loukianos Livas struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponte do Carro. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Alcino Jesus sent off a good shot on target. Alcino Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keld Paulsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alcino Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas got a free kick in the 21st minute. Simão Boaventura received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Keld Paulsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Simão Boaventura slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ponte do Carro's Simão Boaventura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keld Paulsen. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. Alcino Jesus kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 31stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Denmark's keeper Keld Paulsen was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Alcino Jesus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Keld Paulsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Keld Paulsen stood somewhat misplaced when Loukianos Livas came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 40 minute. Loukianos Livas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Loukianos Livas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregório Jesus during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Gregório Jesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Alcino Jesus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ponte do Carro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Lars Steen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Maltez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcino Jesus in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Bertram Svenningsen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armindo Maltez, 5-1. Ponte do Carro's Tiago Cortez was substituted for Gregório Jesus. 87 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Livas came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Loukianos Livas came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ponte do Carro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loukianos Livas couldn't finish the play. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Livas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
