Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urritz Nestares, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Paul Săraru came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keld Paulsen could save by the left post. In the 21st minute, Urritz Nestares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pogoń Staszów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Pogoń Staszów's Paul Săraru. But to his dismay, Paul Săraru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Urritz Nestares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. Franciszek Lichucki made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rajmund Zajíc however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urritz Nestares in the 37th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjarne Kirkegaard charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bjarne Kirkegaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bjarne Kirkegaard. The supporters of Pogoń Staszów booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertram Svenningsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urritz Nestares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Pogoń Staszów's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Pogoń Staszów getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Paul Săraru hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Urritz Nestares made the kick off in the second half. Keld Paulsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Burdalski went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Kenn Skou hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Stasio Hajduk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Keld Paulsen. Denmark's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Cyryl Kaider when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Pogoń Staszów's goalkeeper Cyryl Kaider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chris Nygaard. Norbert Burdalski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Pogoń Staszów getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mario Balotelli hit a great ball. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urritz Nestares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Pogoń Staszów's Mario Balotelli. But to his dismay, Mario Balotelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pogoń Staszów fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
