A very good chance. 11 minutes in the game Dimitri Huijbregs did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jonathan Moreno. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Mathias Bannerhøj sent off a good shot on target. If Mathias Bannerhøj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viktor Roelants having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 40th minute of play forced fc pertotal's goalkeeper Viktor Roelants to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Roelants showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th match minute, fc pertotal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Bannerhøj to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, fc pertotal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viktor Roelants. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Viklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Frank Sachs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Viktor Roelants. The goal made the score 2-2. fc pertotal's Bobby Van Casteren was substituted for Lars Viklund. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Viktor Roelants in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute Bobby Van Casteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Roelants breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Van Casteren in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for fc pertotal.
