Gennadiy Demyanenko in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Andrey Aganin scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrich Slany, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Henrich Slany successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. Mikhail Ignatov took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiy Dorenskiy couldn't finish the play. 98 minutes into the match, Arkadiy Dorenskiy notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Slovakia's Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
