KS Górnik Wieliczka's Marcos Joseph proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save KS Górnik Wieliczka from getting a goal against them. After 29 minutes KS Górnik Wieliczka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Phillip Hunt who took care of the corner kick. Marcos Joseph made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Fonso in the 33rd minute. Bruno Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Fonso came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos Joseph could save by the left post. If Bruno Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 46th match minute, Club Ibiza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phillip Hunt to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Fonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Bruno Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Joseph stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Fonso's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. KS Górnik Wieliczka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Asprilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Boruc Pisarczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Rene Higuita made a huge save. A collision led to KS Górnik Wieliczka getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Zbigniew Wielopolski hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Zbigniew Wielopolski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Górnik Wieliczka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbigniew Wielopolski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Ibiza's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
