In the 5th minute of the match, Aquiles Pavieta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Khalid Kennedy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Serafo Besosa charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafo Besosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of England booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafo Besosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Issac Dawson made a precise shot to the right of Sagrario Paniagua. CD Municipal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 16th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper Sagrario Paniagua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Issac Dawson might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sagrario Paniagua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Issac Dawson ran back to his position shaking his head. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xan Revillas in the 27th minute of play. Sagrario Paniagua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Cox, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Meruelo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Micah Macdonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Galdamiz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. England were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after CD Municipal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Micah Macdonald took the corner. England's Micah Macdonald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sagrario Paniagua in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Valdo Galdamiz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. England's Micah Macdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Micah Macdonald struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sagrario Paniagua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. In the 47th minute Issac Dawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sagrario Paniagua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Cox made a kick off. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Seth Young hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micah Macdonald got free with Sagrario Paniagua in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Issac Dawson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sagrario Paniagua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Kyle Cox elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sagrario Paniagua saved CD Municipal from getting behind. CD Municipal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Caelan Hayes scored to the left of an out of position Sagrario Paniagua, making the score, 0-3. After 78 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Meruelo. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Angelo Meruelo hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, CD Municipal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Micah Macdonald fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, England's Sagrario Paniagua threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Caelan Hayes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Issac Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot. England's supporters rose to their feet, but Issac Dawson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sagrario Paniagua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. England's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
