The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Rius in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Chilavert saved Zagłębie Dąbrowskie from getting behind. Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Mukenio from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Martin Budín made a precise shot to the right of Marian Chilavert. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 19th minute Ramon Rius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Budín, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marian Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Budín in the 28th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Ramon Rius made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Mircea Buciuceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otto Alberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Gimenez having to interfere. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Rius in the 42nd minute of play. Deportivo Mukenio's Mario Hever was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Chilavert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Kon was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Martin Budín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Kon in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Zagłębie Dąbrowskie were awarded a corner. Laureano Guipuzkoa made a great header on Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's corner, it was just that Deportivo Mukenio's Ismael Gimenez managed to reach the ball for a save. Ismael Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömür Seyfeddin in the 61st minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Martin Budín notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert. Marian Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ulryk Domeracki was substituted for Roman Kon. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Wincent Polkoski was substituted for Otto Alberg. Marian Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Rius in the 71st minute of the match. Martin Budín succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 74th playminute. Marian Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Budín in the 79th minute of play. Deportivo Mukenio were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mario Hever took the corner. Mario Hever made a great header on Deportivo Mukenio's corner, it was just that Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert managed to reach the ball for a save. After 81 played minutes Zagłębie Dąbrowskie got a freekick which was hit by Damazy Turok. 83 minutes into the game, Deportivo Mukenio's Martin Budín nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Chilavert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Mukenio! Laureano Guipuzkoa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 94 minutes into the match, Jairo Aurre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marian Chilavert. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Aurre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. 97 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Ömür Seyfeddin came free, but Ismael Gimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Zagłębie Dąbrowskie fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Mukenio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
