In the 10th minute, Tony Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Italy booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ye Gang Cheng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 14th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Deodato Magliozzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New England Minas the free kick. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deodato Magliozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. After 25 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Silva. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Glen Conklin got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Edgardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen Conklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on New England Minas's corner Ye Gang Cheng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavio Vittori quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siricio Liotta in the 40th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. New England Minas were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Italy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glen Conklin took the corner. New England Minas's Tony Pacheco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavio Vittori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. New England Minas's Emmitt Benson was substituted for Alperen Öksüz. In the 62nd minute, Glen Conklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmitt Benson in the 63rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes of play, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremy Nicholas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeremy Nicholas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Pacheco in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tio Lio in the 85th minute of play. Sigfrido Auletta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Jeremy Nicholas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 91 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Tio Lio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zaccheo Andolina's late challenge caught a New England Minas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zaccheo Andolina helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Zaccheo Andolina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Glen Conklin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flavio Vittori. Italy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
