In the 24th minute, Frank Sachs made a precise shot to the right of Buğrahan Ufki. Hilal Gençlik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bolko Julius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rando Aas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Rando Aas came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Hilal Gençlik fans jumped to their feet. The goalkeeper, Tommy Kahn, was totally fooled by Hilal Gençlik's Oktay Gariboğlu, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Buğrahan Ufki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Sachs went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 55th minute Oktay Gariboğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Hilal Gençlik's Mustafa Cumhur Mürşit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oktay Gariboğlu in the 59th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Bolko Julius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hilal Gençlik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 65 minutes into the match, Bolko Julius notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th minute Oktay Gariboğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oktay Gariboğlu in the 72nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bolko Julius in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Bolko Julius came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bolko Julius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
